That’s not really how it works. You’re not legally or morally responsible for someone else’s life. Unless you directly advise them to commit suicide (that is illegal in some places).

I’m an idiot. It was never nearly this bad. Before we married and moved in together it was always “I can help if you want.” And I would always decline telling him thanks but I got it. Or it was “why don’t you let me do it?” And I would nicely decline the offer. And after being together this long now, it’s just bad and our fight today was hurtful. Counseling. Talking. Backing off. Stepping up more. I’ve tried all of it. I guess I’m answering my own questions now.
