FWIW I’m a little older than your man and I cannot fathom going after someone your age. That’s my friends’ kids ages. It’s weird. Sure, sometimes it can work out and be a wonderful relationship, but often it just isn’t. And one of the reasons that these things sometimes don’t work out is because the older person does not see the younger person as their equal, so they treat them disrespectfully.

I’m not sure what is factoring your decision but we kept our baby when it wasn’t necessarily an ideal situation to have a baby and having kids is the best thing I’ve ever done. There is no greater experience. When they get to an age and run up to you for a hug and all that sweet stuff, there is just nothing better.
