I dont know your relationship or either of your spending habits. I had made the same suggestion in the past to keep my boyfriend's savings in my account because he has no self control and has a really difficult time saving on his own. He will not admit that he's bad with finances because he pays his bills on time, but he still lives paycheck to paycheck. I would never in a million years take his money. Even in a separation. I don't think a lot of people understand that kind of trust.
