Why don't you talk to him about his views on marriage. He may not find it important as you do. If marriage is a thing you wanted I would have mentioned that like month 3 as that can be a HUGE deal breaker for some people. Just like some people want kids, others don't. It doesn't have to be a cringe conversation like you are out picking a wedding dress. If it wasn't matching to long-term goals I would rather ditch sooner rather than later. Also, there are no rules saying that YOU CANNOT PROPOSE. I (36f) am going to propose to my significant other, but we are both are same page with marriage and kids.
