1. OP you have to define two thing. What does he want from the relationship and what do you want too. A serious LTR should redefine you circles. Friends are not messiah or sacred person. I think that your friend feel the negativity from you ( immature) and your circle. I m married almost 20 (married young). Our friend circle was redefined because we didn’t share the same mindset anymore ( partying and clubbing).

   Get therapy if you can, if not then you can check out self help methods. Learn about emotional intelligence and attachment styles (it sounds like you have an anxious attachment style). Do journaling exercises so you can clear your head. Find ways to work on reducing your anxiety and to help yourself when you feel anxious.

   As much as we want our partners to support us, we have to care as much about their wellbeing as our own. To do that we need to own our baggage and not expect our partners to fix it for us every time.

   I find it very helpful to just sit down by myself and feel when I feel anxious (or any other difficult emotion). I have learned that I don’t have to do anything about it there and then other than focusing on my breath and on exploring the emotions in my body. And I’ll sit there till the feeling is released and I have calmed down.

   Then I can talk about it later on when I’m calm and collected.
