Nooooooo! This is classic manipulative asshole behavior. It will never stop. I'm 55 so please take my life experience and use it to help yourself. There are great guys out there who will always treat you how you deserve to be treated. This guy will not.
Friend, it is not genuine. I’m sure he’s very convincing because abusers are good at that. But he’s likely not capable of feeling genuine remorse. Others have recommended some good books you should read to educate yourself on the topic of abuse and abusers
