By saying this, you're kinda saying you care more about the people who gave you the bad habits that got you into this situation in the first place than you care about making amends with the person that these people raised you to be a bad partner to in the first place. Why do you care more about how those people think about you than you care about being the best version of yourself for yourself and your partner (this one or the next one when this is inevitably ruined)?
Then clearly you and OP's girlfriend have entirely different thoughts about the human body and nudity.
