OPs post and comments history makes it clear SHE is the mom and in a same sex relationship. She’s awful, I agree completely but let’s stop misgendering her.
Your post was removed for the following reason(s):
Your title did not include at least two ages/genders or was not formatted correctly
Posts must:
include details about the involved parties including ages, genders, and length of relationship, and
request advice in real situations involving two or more people
We are enforcing the two rules listed above by making all titles use the following formatting:
[##X][##X], [## X][## X], or [##-X][##-X] where ## is the age and X is the gender (currently M, F, T, A, NB, FTM, MTF but more can be added). You can have more than two ages/genders listed, but you must have at least two. Here is an example:
It’s important & commendable to communicate clearly & work through tough times in a relationship. But not every relationship is worth fighting for. I don’t know if this one is, but from your history I wonder if you know the difference between a healthy relationship that needs a little work & an unhealthy relationship that has met its natural end.
They do believe their own lies eventually, however the whole point of DARVO Is that they shift the blame to you. It's never their fault, it can never be their fault, It's all your fault because they can never be wrong.
I just had to get rid of somebody for this. It was such a relief, took a few days to get over it, though.
OP now that no one believes you, please give us a little insight in why you would write this. I'm dying to know every time I read such a very true story. What do you get out of it?
You do not bring it up in a non confrontational way. He pulled a bait and switch. That is worth confronting him about.
Take him to dinner nad flat out ask him where he genuinely stands on the subject. Then, let him talk. Go separately because I suspect you have a lot to think about.
He's 32. He knows whether he wants to get married or not. Do not waste another year with him if it is not something he wants.
Men can be silly sometimes but they’re never as stupid as we think they are. Most decisions are completely calculated and conscious. They know what they’re doing.
I'm really sorry you had this experience, but please don't make blanket statements or assumptions about men based on one asshole. That's not only unfair, it's also going to cause you major issues as you inevitably begin new relationships with other guys who aren't pathological like this guy was.

Probably because you love her and want what’s best for her. Have a chat with her and tell her how you feel.
He has a positive male role model in his life… he is dating the girl OP wants to marry

I think more therapy is in order. This is obsessive behavior and you have to be pretty miserable.
Talk to your doctor first and find out how this could've happened. Then talk to your husband, with facts backed up by the doctor
