Screw that! You've accomplished something incredible, it's the start of your entire life and career right here! My little sister is a nurse, and though not a doctor (so I can't speak for the sheer amount of work you'd have had to do extra), I watched her work her ass off with assignments, exams and more. I watched her cry over placements, delight in her patients, stress over assignments etc….if she'd ditched her graduation for my wedding I would've been so incredibly pissed. I'm sorry your family can't see it that way, but don't you dare give into them because it's easier. My sister didn't walk her stage with her entire family there, because she lives so far away from a lot of us, and you know what happened? Her friends rallied round her and she has her graduation photos with the world's biggest smile and all of her friends. They won't pity you, and you won't be the only one there alone. So you go walk that stage, because you did so incredibly well to get there. Any idiot can get married, not everyone can become a doctor.

I did this lol. Was on the phone first with husband at the time then immediately after was on a call with my team RN. In home health we were paired up , one RN and one LPN. When I finished talking I told her I loved her and hung up lol. Immediately called back to say No No, I don't love love you. I love you but I don't, omg this is just getting worse LOL! I just finished talking to my husband and then you, just habit!! She laughed the entire time and ended our conversation with I don't love love you but I love you. ??
