Apologize to your boyfriend for you brother’s behavior. It’s embarrassing. Sit down your parents and explain to them that your brother’s prejudiced and hostile verbal attacks on your boyfriend are something they should be concerned about and control. Boyfriend comes from a culture where you can’t toss inflammatory speech around without expecting reprisal…take that for what it is. I would say that he is a man who could protect you if a situation arose that warranted it. But make no mistake, he is capable of violence…..albeit closer to righteous indignation in this case.
If I were the boyfriend, I would definitely be wondering if this family is in fact all prejudiced against immigrants/el Salvadorans/Latin peoples.
