It sounds like a difference in love languages. Some people tell others they love them, some buy gifts to display affection, others show you tough actions how much they care about you. It sounds like he’s doing a good job of showing you he cares about you but you want more words. Maybe try to find a quiz you can take together to do spark a conversation about how you both show and prefer to receive love.

As someone with multiple anxiety disorders, you are correct. I'm guessing the reason she brought her friend is because she was too scared to say it herself because it was embarrassing and possibly because she was afraid OP would be upset. I think as long as he has plans, is working, and updating you on progress it becomes a matter of personal feelings. Do you think this person can help you build a life and stable future? Some people stick it out and are greatly rewarded and surprised, othertimes it may lead to nothing but more issues. He doesn’t think I’m cheating. I’ve never given him a reason to not trust me, and I’d never disrespect our relationship like that. I always check in with him and text him every 2-3 hours or so, and we even have small conversations through text. He says it’s because of the amount of hours I’m gone, he doesn’t like that I “disappear” for that long.

Honestly, it's unspoken that when you're in a serious relationship, you operate as a unit and you talk amongst yourself and keep secrets for each other. They're the exception to the rule because you see them as your other half and fill them in with what's happening in your world and you dont expect it to get out. I have friends that are couples and i expect that they would talk amongst themselves but it never gets back to me because their partners don't have loose lips. He did break your trust being that he also lied to you. You're right to feel what you feel towards him and it's time to have a conversation with him and reevaluate.
