I've called the cops before concerning a neighbor and her bf. The cops came, she said things were fine, and that was that. They still fought so I just minded my business from there. If she truly wanted out of that toxic mess she'd be out. But if you're that worried for the kids definitely contact the authorities.
I would start by communicating this to her. If she’s too childish to talk to you about serious things(such as this) I’d leave her. She is neglecting you as a partner. It is not fair to you. You are allowed to feel things. You are not a burden.

Your comment taught me many things, thank you. I need to learn that happiness is a choice. Growing up, my dad used to say, “I don't think people are ever happy, happiness is a big word. Maybe content.” and I internalized that. You can and should be happy just because you're alive, even when you don't find “reasons”.

You're not the victim here. But if you've had a turn of moral conscience, then you should tell your coworker what you did and accept the consequences of your actions. There is also a good chance that this will come out regardless (and when it does, it will look even worse if you tried to keep everything a secret).
