Babysitter cheating is by far the most common cheating. Usually in the neighborhood, know the other spouses timing routines and can slide by not raising any attention by neighbors.
I’m not sure that is what is happening here but the violation of trust with your kids without you vetting a babysitter means something is broken in the relationship. I would work on that.
Respectfully, this man has lost his damn mind. He’s lucky that so far his behavior and attitude problems have only cost him his promotion. I’m also absolutely dying laughing that he thinks he’ll “be respected” in a retail job!!! Omg. Good luck with that buddy. Honestly, I know Reddit is always quick to jump on the ‘leave him’ train….but honestly, that is a valid response. Could he be having some kind of serious mental health issue? Brain tumor? I don’t know, this is ludicrous
These very much sound like the behaviours of a narcissist. It's not a healthy relationship and is unlikely to ever be a healthy relationship. My advice would be to break up. As you don't want to hear that, your best bet is therapy for yourself to cope with her abuse until you feel ready to leave.

Don't bring it up again. He knows, it sounds like he just doesn't want what you want.
