I've worked in major MNC's and they're the worst with workplace cheating because of how many people there are and how anonymous that makes you.
At one of my companies, two people were caught having sex in the lactation room because a mother tried to actually use it for its intention and someone was blocking the door from opening from inside. Security had to come and they caught a Senior VP and a manager from a different team coming out with their heads hanging down in shame.
I’ve been there. My mom got home from the rehab place when she broke her hip and threw out the directions for the exercises she was supposed to do at home. I made a comment or two but other than that I let it go. Because that’s who she was, and she wasn’t going to change her behavior because I told her to, so having a discussion was just unpleasant for both of us, and was never going to result in anything changes. It is hot. I’m not discounting that it’s hard, but people generally don’t change, and if they do change, it’s because they want to, not because somebody else wants to. So the way to save your own sanity is to figure out a way to detach and still love her.
