The only reason I was every expecting something in return was because they told me on multiple occasions leading up to my birthday that they were going to get me a birthday gift. Then my birthday rolled around and they ghosted me on the gift.
Open relationships only work if you both consistently communicate and are both open and on board, if you don’t close the relationship back up until you are both ready you are most likely going to lose the relationship

I had great parenting but my parents did some things that fucked me up. they however love and and care for me and apologized. they treat me well.
she doesnt talk with her family…. she has no connections to them other then her mother who she talks to once a month.
We realized this yesterday for the reasons why I do want kids and she doesnt not.
