I think you're perfectly reasonable to not like somebody doing this to you, especially a boyfriend.
I have a work friend(who I've known for 8 years) who used to ask to borrow money every week or so, sometime twice in one week. She would pay me back a few days later, sometimes the next day. The amounts were generally around $20-$40, but could be as low as $5.
This was a pattern for about 8 months. I hated it because it felt like I was always expecting her to ask to borrow money, rather than having a normal relationship with normal conversations. Sometimes I made excuses why I couldn't do it, because I lacked the nerve to tell her the truth that it bothered me. I eventually told her that I wasn't comfortable with it for personal reasons……..and she seemed ok with that and stopped for a couple weeks. However, she started up again. What worked for me? I just told her, “sorry, I can't”.
I had to get to the point that I was willing to lose the friendship if it became a sticking point.
I haven't had her ask again in about 4 months(and we're ok).
You might have to word it differently, due to your relationship, but frankly……..if it's anything similar to my experience, it won't stop untill you put your foot down FIRMLY. You might have to be willing to lose the relationship as well if it's that big of a sticking point.
We don't have sex on her period, I think that's pretty common. I don't think i'd be comfortable with that either, as it probably hurts for her and could be unsanitary. What I mean is aside from the period there are 3 other weeks in the cycle, only 1 of which she'd be in the fertile window. So she'll only let me go down 1 week a month
