I don’t think most good relationships are formed on ultimatums. I won’t disagree with you the relationship is very toxic. It’s hot for me because he made me very dependent on him and I can recognize this. I just don’t know how to detach myself from him.

My ex was alot like how you describe your ex. He tore down his walls and for the first time in his life he was ready for a family, risking losing his life (in his country) to move abroad. Except she ended it and blocked him.
14 years later he's still not over her and the ghost of her memory haunts him. He wasted years with me.
