Biologically speaking, you are not an adult until you are 25 years old. Taking up the moral perspective of the law just because it happens to be the law is completely ridiculous. 18 years old was literally chosen as the age of legal adulthood so that there would be more people to draft into the military, there is no actual reasonable basis why 25 would not be the age of adulthood.

I agree with others about him lying and him being ten years older (22 to his 32 when you started) are red flags. Him leaving his ex-wife because she got sick is also a red flag.
