I enjoy Gabor Mate’s work but I feel you’re misapplying it. We don’t know know what illness she has. OP mentioned that it’s something genetic.
Trauma does affect the body but unrelated physical factors also affect the body. You can’t assume that all disabilities are the result of trauma.
Yeah I feel like “empath” means “I see suffering and want to involve myself and bask in the attention this other person is getting.”
That’s what got me to come back after I left the first time. She’d have me convinced she was and would be different. She’s definitely made some attitude changes, I won’t take that away from her. But she’s just getting lazier and lazier it feels like, and if I tell her this, she literally throws it right back at me. She told me word for word that she felt the same way that I did.
I didn't meet anyone …it was emails but I'm taking responsibility that I definitely fucked up as those emails should not have been sent
I have this friend who talks about how she trained [her word, not mine] her husband by throwing away his clothes, mail, dishes, etc when he left them lying around. I'm not advocating for it but she said he was trained within days.
