Isnt it obvious that your sister in law and maybe the mother has poisoned your wife's mind ? Unless you can make your wife see that your family was happier before this started, your marriage is heading for a difficult time. I bet your SIL has already fed your wife stuff about how much she can take from you in case of a divorce.
Your only hope woud be to get 1 of her friends to speak with your wife and understand what's going on with her and maybe change her mind. You shoud try to document all the stuff about depression, anxiety and refusal to go to therapy in case it is needed for the future.

I recently grew out my armpits and I'm 28 years old. It took several weeks and I kind of liked it. My husband wasn't a fan (I think he'd be fine if I trimmed them shorter), and then we were going to a wedding so I shaved them back in November and I haven't really felt the urge to grow them out again.
Have you considered trimming instead? You'll still have body hair but it might cause less discomfort (I have very coarse hair so stubble or long hair can cause some friction burns).
