It's fear of the unknown. Believe me, I went through the same thing. I was in a dead end relationship for 15 years. I didn't want to leave because I didn't know HOW to be single. I didn't know who I was without my partner. But I learned. If you have a place you can go to for a while, like a friend or family member's home, to kind of re-center yourself and collect your thoughts for a bit, it will help.
And block him.on everything. Delete everything. It's harder to hang onto someone if you have no reminders of them all the time and keep them easily accessible.
Sooo….why was he pretending to this girl that you were just friends. It makes no sense. He says he’s afraid she’ll tell his parents about you, but his parents already know about you. Just a mention of his female roommate to his parents would let his parents know that you’re living together.
Now I’m not really sure that he was hiding his relationship with you from her for any reason other than that he didn’t want HER to know.
She said he cheated on you. Was there something physical between them?
You need to take a BIG step back. Tell her she's on her own as far as going to the hospital, and you won't be talking about her problem anymore, since she refuses to help herself.

He’s also projecting about the manipulation. Using the silent treatment to get you to reach out to him. Silent treatment can sometimes actually be a form of abuse.
I mean, she just wasn't into you that way man, you just have to accept that.
