Honestly, let him go. No one is going to fill those shoes. That’s why these men are on YouTube preaching bullshit because REAL relationships don’t work like that. I get how it sounds. This is how I feel too, but he did reassure me that that wasn’t the reason. He just won’t explain why, and it’s against his boundary for me to ask. I almost feel like it might be that he talked shit about me to them when we broke up so naturally it might be awkward to introduce me? But after 6 months back together I’d think that awkwardness would fade
This happened to me quite often with my ex. I completely understand how you feel. The first time, I brushed it off and didn’t say anything, but then they kept doing it even when I did speak up. It’s not necessarily about the drinking, it’s about the complete disregard to the commitment and plans they’ve made to you. I would encourage you to communicate how you feel to her and make it clear that you’re disappointed.
