  1. She wants to degrade him into nothingness so that she feels like she has lost nothing in her attempts to fuck other men despite being in a marriage.

  2. Are having standards and values puritan? It may be common but low quality men are also common.

Life experience is an excuse. You knew right from wrong. You wouldn’t have cared otherwise and do care now.

You didn’t like it for reasons they didn’t change. You just gave up because it was easier. We all want easy but it doesn’t usually bring positive results.

Notice all your deal breakers are extremes. That’s important but you better be sure you can really accept the compromises and subsequences.

His behaviour is fine as long as you don’t rely upon it. It also changes DRASTICALLY when you aren’t around.

If he’s the most emotionally intelligent guy you dated then you need to date more. He sounds 18-21, not approaching 30. He’s complaining about compromise and hiding behaviour. He still needs to party hot. That’s but maturity or emotional intelligence. It means you need to keep looking while it’s still easy to do so.

Why would you want to choose someone with opposing life standards and values? It only creates a future of conflict.

  3. He already showed you that he doesn’t support you, what else do u need to tell you this relationship is toxic and dangerous.

  4. She’s says she wants things to change. She says she loves me and would do anything to save us but her actions do not match her words. We have not done counseling. I don’t think counseling would help seeing that. I truly believe she’s not being honest with me. And that would probably be the case for therapist or counselor.

  5. Believe what someone tells you when they are under a lot of stress , tied , sick, etc… that is when the whole truth comes out .

  6. This all the way. It’s not ok for him to refuse to wear condoms especially when it causes you this much anxiety. At the same time though, you seem to have an excess of anxiety over it. Have you had a failed birth control experience causing you to over protect against it happening?

  7. First off, never date someone who makes you feel like you're the exception to a general hate and disrespect for your gender. It's not a compliment, it doesn't make you special. It makes them a misogynistic piece of shit who manipulates you for sex. Pay attention to how a person treats everyone in their life or daily interaction, not just how they treat you. And if you have found it funny that he trashes other women as a whole, then that doesn't say much about you either.

Secondly, this isn't a “She did X thing that annoyed me bro” or “I am super frustrated she doesn't understand Y” which are specific gripes which could exist within a healthy relationship. This is him saying he doesn't care about anything you have to say because it's worth it, he does not want you to feel joy because it annoys him, and you exactly the same as every bad thing you ever heard him say about women, and just lies to your face so he can keep getting sex. Yes, this is a huge deal.

General reminder: If you encourage men who build you up by tearing other women down, you absolutely deserve it when they do it to you.

  8. I’m glad you read this comment OP. I mean this kindly, but reading this as a Jew, all I could think was, wow she knows nothing about Judaism. I find that atheists raised in predominantly Christian societies tend to see the world as religion=Christianity, and apply their narrow understanding onto all religions. That said, it’s on your bf that he never took the time to talk to you about his connection to Judaism and how important it is to him.

Personally, I agree that asking you to convert is a lot, and most rabbis would probably talk you out of it considering that you’re not actually personally interested. Circumcising a baby is also something that’s tough if you aren’t both on the same page. However, it sounds like you two need to sit down and talk about what Judaism and all of these things mean to him and why he hasn’t spoken up about it before.
