You can ask him to have an open convo about his political views and say something along the lines of “in my experience people of this political party have (insert harmful views) and this concerns me because I am an open minded individual and these views directly harm people I care for. I want to know if you also support these views.” If yes ask why? If no, then ask why he supports this political party? If he says “well that's just how I was raised” they aren't going to be open to change and are probably blindly following their families belief systems without looking into anything for themselves and that is a whole different issue. Can't fix that one and you just have to leave well enough alone
You could be right. Or maybe A is manipulative and controlling. Or it's just that they have been best friends for so long. Like you said, their relationship precedes yours. You're new ya know?
That said, yall need some healthy boundaries. Are there some sort of sour feelings between A and yourself? How did your bf respond when A was yelling about him not having dropped you off? And what are they even doing out until 5am? Lots of what-ifs and communication would be best.
