I will say the age gap is fairly predatory and creepy by nature though, not something a lot of people would approve of.
It seems like you made it very clear that you gained weight. You hadn’t realized just how much weight you gained, and you did express that to him before you met up. Him telling you that you didn’t express your weight gain sounds is gaslighting, because you know you clearly expressed it.
In all honesty, it sounds like he broke up with you because of the weight gain. You made it clear that you gained weight, and I think he only had a problem with it once he saw it in person. It sounds to me like he doesn’t want to be with you until you lose weight, and he’s using this whole “trust regain” thing to drag things out and see if you lost weight.
I shouldn’t really put words into his mouth, but this is just how this whole thing seems to me. This whole trust broken thing is BS when you told him about your weight gain and he said he didn’t care.
