If you don’t go, they’ll have to split the $300 between themselves anyway to cover it. Why can’t they just do that? Let’s say it’s 10 people going, that’s $30 more per person? What is their problem?!? You going or not going would have the same cost to them if they look at it that way. It’s just cruel and kind of the opposite of the point of Christmas.

If there are two dates, the tope date is when it was written. The bottom date is when it was edited.
He cheated on you. He took drugs after promising you he wouldn’t. How could you ever trust him again?
I admire your composure, it's way more composed than I would be. I'd just send him the pictures, “have fun, bye,” and block him. Don't give him the luxury of a conversation, there's nothing he could say that would benefit you to hear.
Have you been going to AlAnon or another similar peer support group? You should. Once alcoholics get sober everyone expects the problems to be over, bur that's not true. I think you could benefit from support of people going through similar issues . Of course one option is just to leave but if you're not there, this could help you.

Why is this girl fighting with her family a deal breaker? You're fighting with your family right now. You could even be having the exact same fight with your respective families in different fonts. Have you considered she might want out of a traditional situation as well and would be amenable to some sort of deal that benefits you both in the long run? Help each other out;get married, move away, get divorced and both of you go on to marry again for love. Try to view the possibilities from a positive perspective.
