My best friend as a child got accused of smoking because her mom and grandma smoked in the house and in the car with them. My friend didn’t and has never smoked. But the smell was so strong it smelled like she did. It sticks to people who don’t even smoke. I was outside with a friend who was smoking a cigarette and when I got home, my clothes and hair smelled like cigarettes despite us being outside and being a few feet apart. The way the smell sticks is crazy.
You can’t un-put a baby in her. Plan to be in this child’s life and support it for the next 18+ years. Plan a co-parenting strategy with your ex. Maybe paternity test let’s you off the hook but the time to worry about your future was a month ago. Hope the new girl sticks around till the drama is sorted out, but that’s asking a lot of a brand new relationship. Good luck to you.
It is too frequent to arrange a gathering of friends in a very small home and ask your partner to make himself scarce. Why aren't they going out?
I am in my early fifties so I see my friends several times per week. When I do a big girls' thing at home, my husband will usually make other plans. But because we are 'old' he can easily be elsewhere in our home and I have no inclination to ask him to leave. When we were younger and didn't have 4000 sq ft, I never asked him to leave when my friends visited because that is sus. Sometimes he would make other plans since I was occupied, but most of the time we went out instead of hanging around at home.
