I absolutely understand the depression thing. However, when you have a partner that you want to be intimate with it's pretty important that your genitals are cleaned regularly. They're going to smell no matter what she says.
That sounds like a great way forward! I don’t want to disclose more about their mental state/health as it’s not mine to tell the whole internet, but does the book you mentioned discuss how to discuss medication and how it can help? Currently I know it’s not the route forward they want to pursue, but as someone with BPD it’s the only thing that made my life bearable again.
I’ll definitely check the book out though. They currently do shower alone but I think it’s more of marinating/alone time for them (totally get cause I love a good long bath) and less of a wash time. I’m going to consult with my therapist on how they feel I can approach it correctly as well, thanks 🙂

You must understand that if OP was using them for reasonable things, or using them at all, this wouldn't be an issue. But she's not.
