So… all of a sudden, years ago, you start hanging out with, spending time with, and getting your emotional needs met by your fiancés best friend (who is also a guy) and you're confused about why your fiancé is acting the way he's acting?
My advice is to break it off with your fiancé if 1. You're not happy in the relationship, and 2. If when things get tough, you run off to his best friend for emotional support. My advice is to find someone other than your fiancés best friend to date after you've broken up with your fiancé. Friend jumping is pretty trashy imo.

Exactly!! He needs to grow a pair and get his ass into intensive therapy before he even attempts to be in a relationship.
Its been almost 3 years and we used to videocall daily for multiple hours, untill my breaking point. LDR is indeed a lot different than IRL and makes stuff like this much harder. It has been a couple months now of trying to tear the walls down and havent got anywhere with it yet.
I also dont know if these changes will be consistent because in previous cases he'd promise to work on things he eventually didnt. Thats why I doubt if these are changes out of desperation or genuine.
