I know you want friends, but let go of this friend group there’s racist as anything. They are not your friends friends don’t behave like that find friends in a different way. When I first went out on my own, and I was very young I had all kinds of friends find. I had old people, friends, and diversity. I had different kinds of people that were friends and I was pretty happy.
Do your graduation – tell your brother to pick another day – he should've checked on the date with essential/important attendees first, or at least move to accommodate (and of course likewise with the bride).
And if he won't move it, “Oh well”. You'll have that graduation date forever. He may well be divorced in a decade or less – and he can get married again – you can't be redoing your med school graduation or doing that on a different day. And geez, it's not like it was that hot for him to pick a day that didn't have such a major conflict.
Stop bowing to the “golden boy” – f*ck that. And bet he didn't work nearly as hard to get his girlfriend to say “yes” as you've worked to get to graduating med school!
