Personally, I would not tolerate that sort of behavior (ignoring how it hurts your ears, refusing to turn it down, turning it back up, and then daring to be upset at YOU that you revoked the use of your property…) from a romantic partner, friend, acquaintance, or stranger in my presence.

Why on earth would you ever think you are over reacting now? He is basically telling you he doesn't care what you have to say. He can't be bothered to take a minute to read your message. That is beyond disrespectful, devaluing and wrong! On top of that, he seems to have little care and empathy for you. I'm sorry but if I told my partner I need him to take me to the hospital, he would drop everything to take me. His behavior is crap and the fact that you are so quick to question your normal concerns tells me he likely often minimizes your words and gaslights you. Your words, concerns, feelings and health matter.
“Bit attracted”, why would you put yourself in that situation? That other story had different context to the story were you can make a case unfortunately you do not. Also what does my 3rd grade reading level have to do with this.

My husband is a good man, but 50/50 on getting socks inches laundry hamper.
Our kids totally shame him for that 1.5yr “oh no!”, picks up socks, puts in hamper. 4yr “If these are dirty, they need to go in the hamper. Are they dirty Daddy?” (I have not coached the kids. But it does crack me up.)

I think if anything the changes would show just how much I love him. Instead of trying to get him to change, I just cook twice as much as I did before to make meals each one of us actually enjoys.
