When you say it's about health are you really saying it's about a possible drinking issue? If so you absolutely should address it but not as a weight issue but directly as a drinking issue and the weight as an unfortunate side effect that is nearly irrelevant in the face of potential alcoholism.
While I really dislike Texas, this is one thing I can appreciate about Texas and Castle laws. While not every “self defense” defense is allowed, the laws are still fairly broad. The U.S. was founded on property rights (more so than human rights) so we value property over humans here.
And no, that's not the flex many Americans, and specifically Texans, think it is.
