Well I'll repost my original comment from yesterday's post.
So…. she wants her parents and you dead? .
The question isn't whether or not she hopes her brother is better and if she wants to see him. Anyone would want that. She should know better than to act on those things.
I want a nice car. Doesn't mean I steal one or pay money I don't have.
Similarly, she can't act on her want to get something she can't have due to the down sides. If she acts on those wants then she's accepting the downsides.
She wants to accept that you could be killed? That's a concern.
I would be extremely clear to her that if she brings a person that tried to kill you back into your life in any way (and yes her seeing him does that because if she's in danger you'd probably go running to help) then you know she doesn't care about you. If this brother and her ever interact again, I personally couldn't stay with her if I was you. She'd be picking him over you.
Also your MIL risked your life by calling you and not the cops. Nice to know she wants you and her husband dead…..
