I was 20 when my ex-husband and I decided to get married. That was over a decade ago now. Please do yourself the favor of enjoying this relationship for at least another 12 months. There’s no harm in waiting for either of you. It’s not just that you are both young—you’re brain isn’t mature until around age 25. It’s like a tattoo or a baby: if you still want it after 12 months, then go for it.
I know a lot of people are giving you similar advice, and you are probably set in your decision. I’m not sure what would have persuaded me at age 20 either, but it is some advice I hope you’ll at least consider from a random stranger who’s been in your position.
Salvage…? Are you crazy? You haven’t thrown away anything, she has. You should pull off some great grandiose breakup and ruin her.
Move on from him. This isn't going to get better. You are young – you will have other loves, that will treat you with respect.
This DOES happen in real life. When i was in middle school, my friend hosted a part of what was supposed to be around 10 people. I was the only one showing up. The day was awesome, but of course he was disappointed.
Yeah you’re right. You are a stranger. Thanks for the advice and I’ll def keep these things in mind, but I didn’t say anything about sex, I was just asking for different perspectives lol. the way people communicate now is much different than how it used to be, which I see and understand, so it’s not as black and white as what you may believe, which is why I came to Reddit to ask bc I’m smart enough to not go crazy and lose something good without getting other opinions. But once again thanks for the input.
Sometimes people mess up. Up to you if this is worth the trouble of an argument or not.
