Your husband sounds absolutely horrific. There’s no way he was a decent guy who genuinely cared for you, just a guy putting on a facade to hook a young woman. Someone who cares for a person doesn’t treat them like this, or have such little empathy and insight into who they are, what they like, what they need. The problem with relationships with such drastic age gaps is there’s always going to be a power dynamic. He’s made you think he’s this great guy you look up to, but really he’s just trash. You honestly deserve so much more understanding and care than this. Everyone does.

moreover “blackface” isn't offensive because you're making your skin darker than it is naturally, it's because of the history of things like minstrel shows where white actors would dress up (with blackface) to mock and do racist jokes about black people. I guess if there was a history of light skinned asians doing something similar this would apply but if there is, I am not aware of it.
