Yeah I hear you. They say often times for women they’re mentally/emotionally done for a while before breaking up, and once they do actually walk away they can move on quicker. An analogy I heard that made a lot of sense to me was that women are like cats and men are like dogs. Women can be interested/curious of something, but you chase them too much they run off. And dogs it’s the natural tendency to want to chase, but really shouldn’t. I’ve also heard that women generally fall in love quicker, but men oftentimes love deeper, meaning they fall harder and sometimes take longer to recover. These are obviously generalizations and don’t apply to everyone universally, but I know in terms of my breakup and many others I’ve seen/heard it makes sense.

Maybe suggest he always take his daily shower after work. That way there's less pressure or expectation that sex WILL happen or ONLY will happen because of that shower.
