1. First and foremost, I’m sorry. This sounds really painful and no one should have to go through this.

   His behavior, to me, seems abusive. It also jumps out that you wrote “he doesn’t get how this behavior impacts me”. [Paraphrasing]

   That’s problematic in that either (1) he DOES understand how it makes you feel and does it anyway or (2) he’s so out of tune/uncaring he doesn’t see how it impacts you.

   I’m not sure which one is worse.

   Everyone I’ve seen where the parents are anywhere near normal the default is 50/50.

   The exception is if one parent WANTS less.

   I’ve seen people throw tens of thousands of dollars at custody to end up right back where they started. Unless you have documented abuse against the child (against you is irrelevant) it’s always 50/50.

3. You really need to research this for your own sake.

   It’s highly unlikely that any eggs will actually hatch. (Birds don’t get pregnant was my point) but this isn’t about the birds. It’s about your communication.

   You’re going to have to deal with the fact that your gf made that decision without you, whether there are birds in the next place or not.
