Ask him to go to therapy. Tell him he needs to do some session with a therapist to see whether that's what he really wants or if he's just saying it. That after 5/10 sessions of him going solo if he's still wants marriage and kids you'd want to go to a therapist together to discuss things before you get back together. Ask for receipts from the sessions.
