The break up was definitely clear the second time around but based on his perspective he was trying to work things out with me. I was honestly determined not to get back together and that’s why I did what I did. This situation seems to pop up fairly frequently. And as someone who doesn't keep photos of exes, I just don't get it. That's what my memories are for.
I'm not saying delete them, or “delete your past” at all. But do you really require them to be in your camera roll? Can you put them somewhere else? If they were posted to (and remain on) your social media, do you really need them on your memory card too?
If you're someone who lives on their phone, and you're constantly scrolling through your photos, it can seem to her like you'd prefer to go back or stay there. In other words, it can look like you're not over the ex. Obviously, I can't know what it seems like to your girlfriend, since I don't know either of you. But it does seem to me that a little bit of reassurance would go a long way. Or consideration. Or just maturity in general. (Both parties.) At 19, it will come. Give it time and practice.
In the meantime, decide what THIS girlfriend means to you, and decide what compromises you're willing to make.
