OP this is the best take here. She may have done nothing problematic (except the lying). You’re right to focus on that and not worry about what else may or may not happen.
But as you said she has gotten really good at lying to avoid control by her father. That’s a predictable and reasonable coping strategy FOR DEALING WITH DAD.
But unfortunately it can easily become a default to hide details of your life. It’s also easy to project the abusive parent onto your SO unconsciously, which leads to use of that same coping mechanism. She likely in some way identifies you with her father (likely for no identifiable reason other than you’re an important male in her life.)
Anyway she is going to need counseling to help remove lying as a default strategy. And to be able to separate her father from others. It’s fixable. But you may not want to stick around while she works on it.
Btw this comes from personal experience. I hid my entire teenage life from a parent and then years later it affected my marriage when I projected that parent on my spouse, resulting in..lying about stupid shit.
