OP if you haven't already, do this in combination with caulking literally every damn crack you can find. Around the baseboards, windows, under the counters, literally everywhere that has a crack or hole, caulk it after either spraying some Bengal spray in the hole or the gel like the other commenter recommended (might be able to get this done by coraling the kitties in the bedroom and doing living area first and then swapping once it's dry if it's a one bedroom (and put on the kitchen vent). I have done this at every apartment I've lived in after seeing I had bugs and it stopped my issue.
