My boyfriend and I went through a similar situation, I was very open with my phone because I have nothing to hide and then I reached for his phone one day and he wouldn't let me get it…. I automatically started thinking HMMMM, he must have something to hide. Fast forward, I realized that just because I'm so open with my phones doesn't mean he'll be the same for whatever reason.
I have major trust issues, that triggered something in me. I went cold for a few days.
The resolution was I changed the password to both of my phones and now he no longer has access to them.
He seems too good to be true and the mystery still remains. But I refuse to sabotage a otherwise healthy relationship over this. After 2 marriages that ended in divorce, I do know that when you go looking for something you WILL FIND SOMETHING.
I'm no longer giving energy to the phones, and trust issues.

So I can understand the part about the dog and her already having a great rental. If she'd had to pay more or downgrade, I could see how she wouldn't want to go 50/50. That said, she seems to have outdated views on relationships. You're right to feel gross about the attractiveness statement. I'd take that as the red flag it is. This won't be the only time you as a man will need to do the financial heavy lifting. She needs to learn that women are more than capable of 50/50 financial contributions (or more).
