Definitely not overreacting. I feel like you’re not reacting enough? By this I mean that you should talk to her about it. She already seems like she’s not ready for a relationship, but if she takes you talking about these issues you’re facing as you controlling her then she is definitely not ready for a relationship. Tell her that its to the point where if she keeps acting like this then you don’t want to be with her anymore. Its a hot conversation to have but it needs to happen. You can’t keep beating yourself down and going to these extremes to see her just for her to cancel on you last minute or to just not show up. Both of your emotions are real, so don’t let her undermine it by saying you’re controlling her and don’t try to undermine her justifications for her actions if she does decide to come clear with it when you talk to her.

True, or maybe OP is strictly straight I hate when so-called allies try to guilt trip people into dating outside their comforts. OP feelings are valid and you dismissing them is not helping the LGBTQIA community.
Breaking up out of the blue like that to me sounds like “I found someone I like more then you, bye”. Do you want to get back with her just to wonder if she’ll do that again?
If you’re even considering this though it might be time to think about the relationship you’re in currently. If all it takes to make you doubt is your ex reaching out, then “good but not perfect” might not be the best way to describe your current relationship.
