  1. I've moved more times than I can count, and understand the difficulty of meeting people in a new place but I've gotten pretty good at it. I'll share some tips! Try Bumblebff. I personally haven't used it but a lot of my friends have made new friends that way. Search for local facebook groups related to your interests and see if there's any meetups or even make a post yourself explaining how you're looking to meet new people. Also try women of [whatever city your in] groups. I've met a lot of great people though groups like that. You could also post on your local subreddit too. Ask your bf if he can come along to a couple social events like pub quiz nights or something and see if you can join a table or other group. Going for a night out to the pubs is a great way to meet new people, but imo it's kind of awkward to go alone, which is why maybe your bf can help you out. Really, you just gotta take initiative and reach out and people often appreciate that.

There's lots of people out there who are looking for cool people to hang out with. Your situation is quite common, and it's easier than you think to meet other people when you don't really have an established friends group.

  2. can your wife be mobile with a wheelchair? There are chairs now which can be used on a range of terrains.

It may also help your wife to be part of a support group for her condition(s) – there are some excellent live! ones which may help with the isolation she feels (and not having others to talk to who understand).

Are you in a support group for carers? I would *strongly* recommend it. I had support from a local organisation who supports carers – they understood the complex feelings we have towards someone we are caring for.

  3. It's absolutely valid to not date in that case.

It's a recipe for disaster to wait for such an important part of a relationship until you're legally bound by marriage. It's similar to only moving in with each other after marriage. In such a case you will find out if you're compatible or not after the wedding, meaning it might end in a terrible marriage or quick divorce. That's not really appealing.
