Is being married important to you? Is it important to him? If he doesn’t want to get married will it change the way you feel about the relationship? Is buying a house more important than getting married? If you don’t get married do you have anything in place if you get hospitalised, or die like power of attorney or insurance. Will you support each other financially if you lose your job or are injured. There are some rights that are automatically assigned on marriage but not if you are de facto. The last names with partially match though. Also, why does it have to be all for him. Why does he have to be doing all of the doctor's appointments and all the school registration and any other enrollment process in order for the child to not just have a hyphenated name and to just have moms?
