Do either of you have a last name that could be a good first name? I know a couple who was having this same debate, and they ended up giving the baby a “first namified” version of the mother’s last name (think Andrew for Anderson) and the father’s last name.
We all knew, we all agreed. It isn't a traditional relationship granted, but it was one where we all knew about each other (and met each other). There was no cheating. This is a case of a person not having the mental energy and capacity to hold down work and two relationships, plus family issues at the same time. It's clear I am not currently the priority though, and that's what I am finding tough to cope with. If it doesn't work out with him, we get back together, because she knows it didn't work and not that she was stretched too thin. I don't know what happens if it works out with him.

You’re not asking for too much. If you’re out at work more and she’s at home more it only makes sense for her to pick up more of the house upkeep. It might be ultimatum time and telling her that you simply can’t sustain this lifestyle, that she needs to pick up the slack or you guys are done. It’s a tough approach but it sounds like you’re out of options at this point.. I doubt all the stress and sleep deprivation you’re experiencing are worth it.
Well I also have to contend with the fact that I simply cannot give up on him because it’s what the rest of my family wants. Bare in mind this is a man who held a gun to my face at fourteen and I had to apologize to him for the incident because in his eyes I provoked him. No matter what he does my family refuses to call the cops because “you don’t give up on family.”
Handle it as though you were the kind of friend she probably needs right now. The last thing this now single mom needs in this moment is a guy trying to make a pass at her. Divorcing with children is a tragedy and like any tragedy it takes time to recenter and be able to take on normal life again. It may be years before her kids are okay enough for her to consider dating again. So consider her off the table for romance until such time she tells you she wants to date you.
