That's what I was thinking. Unfortunately the dating pool will have changed now for him, and I think there's some kind of loyalty to someone who stuck through this, especially since she's much better than he's had before. I think they have potential to be a great couple, but it's really not my place to recommend personal boundaries between the two of them. That's why I haven't said anything. I mostly just want to find a better way to maintain my friendship with Eli while minimizing conflict with Jen.
He has said he wants to play sometime but I'm not sure I'm mentally up for it without being in the former mindset currently
