I hear you. We started out great, talked about what was going on, took a week of space from each other, and things were great again. A week later, things were back to what it is right now. She said she’s struggling with working in a field that she doesn’t want to work in and that she basically regrets what she got her degree in so maybe it is a depression thing. But you’re right it doesn’t even feel like a relationship and it’s honestly starting to mess with MY mental health. As sad and as hot as it is, I might have to end it.

You have known him for years. You’ve grown up together so I assume you have a solid friendship along with your relationship. Talk about this. In person. Be honest and ask him to be even if it hurts your feelings. I say that because your feelings are already hurt and not addressing this will make those feelings fester.
It sounds like she has some personal issues that need to be addressed with a professional regarding her relationship with her body and food.
Beyond that, you've got a choice to make settle in resentfully for where things are now, or break up since it's been an issue that has been addressed multiple times… That probably won't get better till she is addressing her issues.

I mean, there is no reasoning in denying the truth. That would just make things worse, the problem resides in managing with the truth.
Promises are something I hold sacred, and idk what I would do if she messages, so that is something I can't promise. However, I don't think I could take her back after all the pain caused by this. Maybe that will change, but definitely for now I don't see that in any plan going forward.
Idk what she nor they are thinking, maybe I'll learn someday, but likely not in the near future
