I had a friend like this. For yearssss she’d date guys she considered to be “thugs” and “hood”. Then they’d physically hurt her, cheat on her, wreck her car, get her pregnant and throw her down the stairs to kill the baby, threaten her with weapons…the list goes on. She married someone who was in jail for forced sodomy on a male child. Yeah pretty much this. My ex and I would be just like this. I have a military background and thats our way of showing love to one another. We will talk shit, laugh about it and continue moving on, fighting for each other all that good stuffs. My ex and I would call each other ugly and stuffs, laugh about it and do our thing. It's not for everyone I know that. It's all about compatability. You don't like it? Have a discussion and/or move on.
