You can overcome contempt. It’s based on miscommunication and therapy is so helpful. Just my personal experience not a clinical study, but very grateful to a great therapist and the work we put in and continue to do.
Honestly, his reasoning is kinda bs. Not to mention the “cooking is an extension of love” sounds like a hot manipulation tactic to get you to agree to doing it in the first place. But not only does he expect you to cook every day ,but he's picky about it as well.
Like I work like 50 plus hours a week and I ask my wife to cook every day. Though I do tell my wife that on days that I cook don't expect anything fancy. You most likely be getting chicken and rice or something simple. As I don't have the energy to be cooking a large meal ,plus doing all the dishes that come with it.
Exactly – the people who post here are posting because they don't have support from their partner and they don't have a support network outside of their partner. They are dealing with a relationship issue that is frustrating them and they are getting more frustrated because they can't discuss it with their partner, so they turn to random internet strangers. Basically the issue is so bad and seems so unsolvable that random internet strangers are their last ditch effort to fix it. 9 times out of 10 that means they shouldn't be with their partner.
